Berean Standard Bible
Chapter summary
In that future day, seven women will approach a single man, offering to provide their own food and clothing if he will merely take away their public disgrace by letting them bear his name. Concurrently, the Branch of the Lord will become glorious, and the produce of the land will bring pride to the survivors of Israel. The remaining inhabitants of Zion and Jerusalem, all whose names are recorded among the living, will be designated as holy after the Lord washes away the filth of the daughters of Zion and purifies Jerusalem's bloodstains through judgment and fire. Following this cleansing, the Lord will establish a physical presence over Mount Zion and its assemblies, creating a cloud of smoke by day and a glowing flame by night. Finally, this divine presence will serve as a protective canopy and shelter, providing shade from the daytime heat and a safe refuge from storms and rain.
